Prairie Springs Park

Located at Hwy. 165 and Hwy. H. Prairie Springs Park includes Lake Andrea, RecPlex, and Froggy's Landing. The park features a 2.3-mile paved walking and jogging trail, nature trails, playgrounds, volleyball pits, softball fields, archery ranges, swimming, windsurfing, fishing, sailing and boating. Froggy's Landing is open Mid-June through Labor Day. Please call for hours. At Froggy's Landing, rent pedal boats, canoes, kayaks, sailboat or bass boat by the hour. Indoor and outdoor spaces in the park are also available for rent to host parties, meetings and more.

Prairie Family Days

Prairie Family Days will take place at a new location inside Prairie Springs Park. The grounds will move lakeside along the west side of RecPlex. Admission and several activities are free, though certain activities are fee based. A $5 parking fee will be charged inside the park after 4:00 p.m.

Join us for our summer 5K race along the shores of Lake Andrea. Registration cost includes a goodie bag along with an event t-shirt and post-race refreshments. Registration is open to men, women and children of all ages.

Paddle for Life Dragon Boat Races

August 11, 2012

Paddle for Life’s goal is to train amateur athletes for dragon boat competitions and to run races where they can participate. The profits from each event are donated to local charities, which are chosen by the PFL Board of Directors with input from local paddling clubs in the community. Location: Lake Andrea at Prairie Springs Park.

WWA Wakeboard World Championships

August 16, 2012 – August 19, 2012

One of the largest and most prestigious action-sports events on the planet is debuting at Prairie Springs Park when the Rockstar Energy Drink WWA Wakeboard World Championships, presented by Supra arrives at Lake Andrea. More than 200 professional and amateur wakeboarders and wakeskaters from across the globe will compete in the 19th annual invitation-only event for a shot at a world title.

The Danskin Triathlon Series - an exciting way to reinforce a healthy lifestyle while celebrating women! The event, one of eight races in this nationwide Series, will be held on Sunday, August 26th, starting at Prairie Springs Park. This first-timer friendly, women's only Swim, Bike and Run event may be done on an individual OR Relay Team basis. Participants 14 years and older. Let's redefine TRIumphant!
