Washington Park

Features Washington Pool (zero-depth entry, splash fountain and water slides), the country’s oldest operating velodrome, and a 9-hole golf course. Also, playground, basketball, tennis courts, picnic areas, sledding and skateboarding. A City of Kenosha park.

Season passes will be available for purchase beginning Tuesday, May 28, 2013 for the city's two public swimming pools at Anderson Park and Washington Park. Pools will open for the season on Saturday, June 8 at 12 noon.

Regular pool hours in June will be 12-5:45 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays. Pools will remain open until 7:45 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays in July, continuing to the end of the pool season in mid-August. Weekend hours will remain 12-5:45 p.m. throughout the season. The pools will be closed on Mondays and on the Fourth of July.

Season pool passes may be purchased from 1-4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at the Public Works Department, 625 52nd St., Room 305. There is a discount for purchasing passes before the pools open for the season. Cost for residents is $55 for a single pass; $115 for a group of up to five and $15 for each additional person on a group pass
(maximum of 3). Non-resident costs are $60 for a single pass; $180 for a group of up to five and $20 for each additional person on a group pass. After the pool opens, costs increase $5 in each category for residents. A nonresident single pass costs $75, group pass $185 and additional person on a group pass $25. Each person on the season pool pass is required to be present to have a photo taken for the pass.

Swim coupons good for five visits also are available for $15 for children and $20 for adults. Daily pool fees are $4 for children ages 3-17, $5 for adults 18-59 and $3 for adults 60 and older. The daily fee for non-swimming adults is $2. Children age 2 and younger are admitted free with a paid adult (maximum of 3 children per adult).

In the winter: Enjoy the new ice skating rink and sledding hill at the golf course (2205 Washington Road), which will be open weather permitting – at no charge – throughout the winter months. The golf club house will be open as a warming house from 11a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Refreshments will be available for purchase during those hours, including soup, chili, hotdogs, hamburgers, hot chocolate and other beverages.
