The countless great times continue in the Kenosha Area this fall. Here is a sampling of what you will find here during just one great weekend.

Dinosaur Discovery MuseumHave you heard some rather large Dinos have moved in? The Dinosaur Discovery Museum "Dino-Might" Grand Opening takes place Oct 14 and 15 from noon to 5 p.m. with free family activities at the NEW Dinosaur Discovery Museum and the Kenosha Public Museum. Join Dr. Thomas Carr, Curator of the Dinosaur Discovery Museum, to learn about the Carthage Institute of Paleontology's first field school and what was discovered this summer. And don’t miss the hit movie Jurassic Park, shown on an outdoor big screen on Saturday evening. Click here for details (keyword: Dino-Might).

The Alex Wilson BandHow hot do you like your chili? You be the judge at the Kenosha History Center Chili Cook Off from 6 to 10 p.m. on Oct 14 at the Kenosha History Center. Contestants include: Coffee Pot Diner, tg's, Boat House, Twisted Cuisine, Mo's Cafe, Wine Knot, Bluefish, Somers Fire Dept., and Kenosha Fire Dept. Admission includes chili tasting and judging from 6:00 until it's gone and great music by "The Alex Wilson Band" from Milwaukee. There will be a good selection of micro brews and wine available at cash bars. Limited tickets are available at the door for only $10. Click here for details (keyword: Chili).

The Radioactive Squirrels Take it back a few decades at Retro at the Rhode. The bands begin at 5 p.m. on Oct 14 at Rhode Center for the Arts. Enjoy the Paul Douglas Trio (60's hits), Radioactive Squirrels (Doors Tribute), and Cosmic Railroad (Grateful Dead Tribute). There will be vendors selling clothing, jewelry, and artwork from that era, along with a cash bar and food vendors. This is a fundraiser for Lakeside Players and a chance for you to become acquainted with Kenosha’s premier venue for live musical performance. Tickets are $10 advance, $15 at the door. Discover Wisconsin - The Greater Kenosha AreaWatch the Kenosha Area shine on TV! The Kenosha Area episode of Discover Wisconsin entitled "The Greater Kenosha Area: One Great Lake, Countless Great Times", which premiered in March, will air again on Oct 14 and 15. Check your local listings for time and channel. Also, you can purchase DVD copies of the episode at Andrea's, Dinosaur Discovery Museum, Kenosha History Center, Kenosha Public Museum, and Pollard Gallery. The DVDs make great gifts!
