The Transparent Watercolor Society of America will once again display a variety of watercolors from artists from across the country. An opening reception will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, May 5 at the Kenosha Public Museum.
A fresh and innovative perspective on the Civil War that brings into focus three constitutional crises at the heart of this great conflict – the secession of the Southern states, slavery, and wartime civil liberties – and explores how Lincoln sought to meet these political and constitutional challenges. Free exhibit in the John M. Antaramian Gallery.
The Civil War Museum will host a series of four group discussions focusing on the causes of the Civil War. This program is free and open to the public. The sessions will be led by Dr. Eric Pullen, professor of history at Carthage College, and based on a set of readings provided by Carthage and the museum.

Spectators are welcome to come on out and enjoy some great boat races on Lake Andrea! PRO Outboard racing is the oldest style of boat racing in the country, and the US Title Series has been the leading organization for the PRO category.
The Durkee Mansion, one of Kenosha’s unique historical landmarks, is a cream brick Italianate, Victorian style home located among the Kemper Center properties on the lakefront. The public is invited to tour the home through October, when it will then close to prepare for the holiday season.
