The Civil War Museum will host a series of four group discussions focusing on the causes of the Civil War. This program is free and open to the public. The sessions will be led by Dr. Eric Pullen, professor of history at Carthage College, and based on a set of readings provided by Carthage and the museum.
Every 4th Friday of the month, enjoy Ladies’ Night at Alpaca Art. Half off studio fees for ladies painting on these nights. Reservations appreciated.
All veterans and soldiers are welcome to stop in for some coffee, kringle and conversation. Visit the Museum's Veterans Memorial Gallery. At 11 a.m. there will be a ceremony honoring all those who have served as well as those who serve today. Free and open to the public.
Actor's Craft presents Neil Simon's London Suite, four short plays in one hotel suite. America's premier comic playwright Neil Simon finds humor and poignancy in how absurdly we all lead our lives. Simon crosses the Atlantic for a suite of hilarious comedies set in a deluxe London hotel, a sedate place until these characters check in. Audiences can expect to laugh at the comedy, enjoy the farce, be moved by the romance, and sympathize with the conflicts.
A free family fun kite flying event at Kennedy Park, with free parking. The GRAND LAUNCH of 500 plus kites takes place at noon.
