Kenosha’s Discover Wisconsin Episode To Re-Air June 21-22
Kenosha, WI (June 9, 2008) - A travel piece on the Greater Kenosha Area is scheduled to air June 21 and 22 on television stations throughout the region. The Kenosha Area shines in a half-hour episode of Discover Wisconsin, entitled “The Greater Kenosha Area: One Great Lake, Countless Great Times”. The show is designed to entice viewers to visit the Kenosha Area and experience for themselves the many “countless great times” they can find here.
Discover Wisconsin is a syndicated television program that promotes vacation destinations in Wisconsin. The Kenosha Area episode showcases numerous area attractions and recreational opportunities in stunning and vibrant color. Among the show’s highlights are Kenosha’s Electric Streetcars, Charter Fishing on Lake Michigan, Kenosha History Center, Southport Light Station, Kenosha Public Museum, Bristol Renaissance Faire, Jelly Belly Center, and much more.
The episode will air in the Milwaukee market on Sunday, June 22 at 9 a.m. on Channel 6 (FOX) and in the Chicago market on Saturday, June 21 at 10 a.m. on Comcast SportsNet. Discover Wisconsin TV is broadcast throughout the Midwest on a combination of network, cable, and satellite stations. The Kenosha Area is also featured as a Choice Wisconsin Destination on the Discover Wisconsin web site: www.DiscoverWisconsin.com.
This episode first aired in Spring 2006. It is available for $5 in DVD format at various Kenosha retail outlets, including Andrea’s (2401 – 60th St.), Kenosha History Center (220 – 51st Pl.), Kenosha Public Museum (5500 First Ave.), and Pollard Gallery (518 – 56th St.). The Kenosha Area Convention & Visitors Bureau spearheaded the television project with the help of a Wisconsin Coastal Management Program grant.
