KACVB Announces Winners of 2009 Kenosha Area Picture Perfect Photo Contest and Official Start of 2010 Contest

Kenosha, WI (January 26, 2010) - The Kenosha Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (KACVB) has selected the winners of its 2009 Kenosha Area Picture Perfect Photo Contest. The first place winner was Nate Whitney for his “Marina Sunrise” photo taken at Southport Marina. The second place winner was Kathy Brand, for her “Orange and Yellow Streetcars” photo taken at the McCarthy Transit Center. The third place photo, “A Kenosha Christmas Card”, was taken by Stephen Laviolette as he was capturing family Christmas card photos at the lakefront. All three winners are from Kenosha.

The photos may be seen on the KACVB’s web site www.KenoshaCVB.com. Each winner was awarded a dining gift certificate, to House of Gerhard, Boat House Pub & Eatery, or Ron’s Place, courtesy of the Kenosha Area Convention & Visitors Bureau.  Each winner also received a gift card to Scoops! Ice Cream & Candy on Sixth Avenue, courtesy of Scoops!.

The Kenosha Area Picture Perfect Photo Contest continues in 2010.  Each photo submitted has the chance to be used on KACVB’s web site, in the Kenosha Area Visitors Guide and other marketing, to promote the Kenosha Area as a fun and exciting place for out-of-town visitors. Photos are judged based on content and quality. An entry form must be submitted with each photo.  The KACVB is looking for photos that represent all four seasons in Kenosha County, such as photos of festivals and events, recreational activities, landmarks, nature, and attractions.
