Do you know Kenosha has a strong automotive history, dating back to the early 1900’s? In 1901, the first Rambler model - designed by Charles Jeffery - rolled off the assembly line in Kenosha. Jeffery, Rambler, Nash, American Motors, and Chrysler have all called Kenosha home at one time or another. The free Kenosha History Center, in part, shares this rich history inside its Rambler Legacy Gallery. Through September 25, 2011, view the exhibit: “Sixties Mix and More”. Presented with Snap-on Incorporated, this exhibit celebrates Vintage Autos and 90 Years of Tools.
 
Visit the only museum of its kind in the nation - the Civil War Museum. Through engaging and interactive exhibits, the main exhibit gallery: “The Fiery Trial” tells the personal stories of the Upper Midwest, from lives changed by the Civil War to those who shaped the course of American history. Stop in the Veteran's Gallery and pay solemn tribute to veterans of all wars.
 
Shake loose some pent-up energy at Guttormsen Recreation Center, Kenosha’s premier bowling facility. Many special deals are offered, including unlimited cosmic bowling after 9 p.m. on Friday nights. Or make it a ski trip in the winter! Wilmot Mountain Ski & Snowboard Area offers 25 unique runs with a varied terrain for all skiers and snowboarders, from novices to experts.
