Images Needed for Kenosha Area Convention & Visitors Bureau Photo Contest

Kenosha, WI  (September 6, 2011) – Calling all budding photographers! As you enjoy the natural beauty and many fun events and attractions in the Kenosha Area, the Kenosha Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (KACVB) reminds you to take photos along the way and enter the Kenosha Area Picture Perfect Photo Contest. This is an opportunity for area residents to show their hometown pride by sharing with visitors what a wonderful place the Kenosha Area is, no matter the season. Photos help draw tourists to the community. Tourism, in turn, makes a positive impact on the local economy.

Each photo submitted has the chance to be used on KACVB’s web site, in the Kenosha Area Visitors Guide and other marketing, to promote the Kenosha Area as a fun and exciting place for out-of-town visitors. At the end of the year, all photos submitted during 2011 will be judged. The top photos will be awarded dinner for two at an area restaurant. Photos will be judged based on content and quality. An entry form must be submitted with each photo.

Throughout the year and all four seasons, the KACVB accepts photos of recreational activities, landmarks, nature, festivals and events, and attractions. Possible images include golfing at Brighton Dale Links, hiking at Richard Bong State Recreation Area, fishing at Lake Michigan, boating at Lake Andrea, participating at a Kenosha Public Museum event, or climbing the Southport Lighthouse.

Anyone is eligible to enter the contest, however the photos must be taken in Kenosha County.  For a complete set of the contest rules and an entry form, log on to the Kenosha Area Convention & Visitors Bureau’s web site at www.KenoshaCVB.com, e-mail mjumisko@kenoshacvb.com, visit the KACVB Visitor Information Center in Downtown Kenosha at 812 – 56th St. (Mon.-Fri. 8am-4:30pm), or call (262) 654-7307 ext. 13.
