Snow Tubing Facility Opens at Wilmot Mountain, Kenosha County, WI
Kenosha, WI (January 9, 2012) – Far from the Northwoods, this corner of Wisconsin has its own mountain of winter fun. Located midway between Chicago and Milwaukee on the Lake Michigan shore, the Kenosha Area is home to Wilmot Mountain, Southeastern Wisconsin’s premiere ski and snowboard facility. And now, it adds another feather in its winter cap: snow tubing!
Independent of Wilmot Mountain’s runs, lifts, and terrain parks for skiing and snowboarding, the brand new snow tubing facility features over 1,000 feet of multiple tubing lanes and a state of the art covered people mover conveyor lift, so participants don't have to hike back up the hill! Coming soon is a specially sized "kiddie" tubing hill, for ages 2 to 4 years old. Groups of 20 or more qualify for snow tubing group discounts.
Snow tubing is a great winter sport for all ages, no experience necessary. Families can make a day of it on the mountain - whether snow tubing, skiing, or snowboarding! Live music on the weekends, snow sports classes, and alpine racing are among Wilmot Mountain’s features. Wilmot Mountain, which makes its own snow, is located at 11931 Fox River Road.
