The RecPlex Ice Arena is proud to showcase the talents of area figure skaters during the 2013 Spring Ice Show – Once Upon a Dream. The public is invited to attend one or more of three showings of Once Upon a Dream during the weekend of May 17 and 18. Once Upon a Dream will feature more than 150 performers ranging in age from preschool through adult.
Walkers and runners of all ages and abilities are invited to take part in the 9th Annual Family 5K Walk/Run inside Prairie Springs Park. The annual event will take place during Mother’s Day weekend in celebration of family and good health. All registered racers will receive an event t-shirt, goodie bag and post-race refreshments.
Ages 8 and older, join us for a 400-meter swim, 4-mile spin bike ride and 2.3-mile outdoor run (weather permitting). Scoring is based on total distance. Awards are presented to overall and age group winners for male and female.
Join us for our summer 5K race along the shores of Lake Andrea. Registration cost includes a goodie bag along with an event t-shirt and post-race refreshments. Registration is open to men, women and children of all ages.
Events begin at 9 a.m.
The Pleasant Prairie Mud Run is a down and dirty 5K trail run with obstacles. The course is perfect for recreational runners competing in their first 5K race and still challenging enough for the competitive athlete. The Pleasant Prairie Lil Mudder and Pleasant Prairie Mud Run JR are also offered.
8:30 - 9:30 a.m.: Packet pick-up.
10 a.m. – noon: Run/Hike
Enjoy a beautiful 3.8 mile fall hike or run around Wolf Lake and benefit the park at the same time. All pre-registrants receive a long-sleeved t-shirt. There will be door prizes, music and refreshments. Great for families too! Meet at the Beach.

Fireworks, Children's Fishing Derby, Cardboard Boat Races, Paw Fest, Twin Lakes Idol, Fabulous Entertainment, Shopping Vendors and a Baggo Tourament are just some of the events planned for this 2-day celebration. The annual Libertyfest Parade begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Legion Park and ends at Lance Park.
